Diamonds are a girls best-friend and it couldn’t be more true with the simplistic and minimal pieces that are created by Canadian brand, Mejuri. The fact that Mejuri is created and made in Toronto just makes me love them that much more, I love supporting local businesses! It’s also amazing to see the Mejuri doing so well and garnering international recognition for their fine jewelry, the blog-o-sphere and influencers are all over this brand!
I first discovered Mejuri on Instagram and have collected multiple pieces since and will definitely be ordering more in the near future. I find that minimal and dainty jewelry work best with my style as I don’t tend to have a lot of time to fuss over which pieces of jewelry to wear every day. Everything Mejuri offers, with weekly releases of new styles, I constantly repeating the mantra “I MUST HAVE IT” in my thoughts. With jewelry, I’m the type of girl that: once its on, it never comes off. Apologies to those who get tired of me wearing the same studs week in and week out. But I absolutely love my 360 Circle studs, they give this illusion of gauges, or eyelets being punched into the ear… really stunning, I’ve received endless compliments on how unique they look!
I love that Mejuri provides fine jewelry quality at an affordable price. When you wear the same jewelry everyday, you want to know that it will last and still look just as good on the day you received it. I have always believed that it is worthwhile to splurge on some good quality jewelry as it will last you a life time. The magical numbers of 925, symbolizing sterling silver quality, was ingrained into me since I was pretty young as most cheap metals didn’t react well with my skin (TIP: when thrifting for jewelry be sure to check out the jewelry section for some hidden silver gems!). You will never have to experience grossly green ring marks with pieces from Mejuri. All pieces are crafted out of the finest materials with options for sterling silver, gold vermeil, and gold filled. All priced fairly so that you can have that fine quality jewelry without paying the extra fine high prices.
So the next time you’re in search of a small treat for yourself or gifting a little something to a good friend, I would highly recommend checking out Mejuri! Maybe drop some hints to your partner as Valentine’s day is right around the corner… you may be lucky enough to own something sparkly!

I’m usually a shoe person. Never was really into bags until recently when my go to everyday bag has gotten to a new state of “worn-in”. Its almost time to retire my beloved Rebecca Minkoff bag and through that I’ve been scouring the internet to find a replacement. During that time obviously Gucci was a top brand that kept on popping up and I fell head over heels for their Dionysus mini bag. It’s absolutely stunning! What is also stunning (but not in the good way) is the outrageous price of the bag. This girl isn’t about to drop that much money on any bag, no matter how pretty. Now usually when something is out of my price range, the first solution would be to DIY something similar (hence this blog) but seeing as it’s a pretty structured handbag with some custom hardware, I figured finding a dupe would probably be a better solution. On this quest to find a golden Gucci dupe, I came across many YouTube videos talking of designer dupe bags and got sucked into this whole new world where you can get high quality dupes. Through that I magically landed on the Instagram Page of Fashion Drug and was immediately drawn in.
Fashion Drug is based out of the Netherlands and provides fashion addicts like myself well crafted items that look almost identical to their real designer sister pieces without the designer label and price tag. Just to clarify: A dupe is not the same as counterfeit. Counterfeit merchandise has the same exact logos and names of the brands, claiming to be a product of a brand (which is illegal and I do not support this) but a dupe, where they basically reproduce a design without trying to pass it off as a fake is different. Its quite a conflicting subject but my views on it is basically this: if someone if copying your designs, you know you’ve made it good. People don’t copy designs unless they are of value and trending. I was okay with purchasing Fashion Drug’s dupe of the Gucci bag because I knew that I would never be able to afford the real thing, also I most definitely will not be trying to pass the bag as an original Gucci. In most cases if I can afford the real thing I would buy the original item to credit the original brand and designer but in this case, Gucci is a whole other galaxy away. People shouldn’t be surprised to see dupes but it seems to be a big fuss when it comes to bags; to each their own but let’s carry on with the review.
We’ve all been seeing super cute bikinis with summer approaching and I couldn’t resist browsing around online. Some popular destinations are Zaful and Cupshe but I had a hunch that I had seen some of those designs for cheaper, and that would be on Aliexpress! Always down to save a couple of extra bucks, I decided to place a few orders for my tropical vacation coming up. I’ve always wondered if ordering from Aliexpress would be safe and legit and through this test I would recommend ordering from Aliexpress. Only somethings though… there are some things I wouldn’t order; this post will cover the bikinis I have ordered. Here is everything you have ever wanted to know about ordering from Aliexpress!

One of the things I regret most is not having a tangible reflection of an amazing memory… A trip to Japan last year I picked up the FujiFilm Intax mini 8. Love the quick and easy instant pictures and they’re always a hit with friends and family.
I got it at a discount price and while the camera unit itself isn’t very expensive, it’s the constant need for more film that makes this little guy an investment. But other than that I can’t complain because every time I bring this to an event or party it has been a hit. I loved every minute of the duck faced pouts, the silly photo dives and impromptu giggles it caused.
Any advice on how to show off them polaroids? I’m not a huge fan of having them kept in a book but maybe strung on wall? Comment down below some suggestions! Perfect for a Christmas Gift the to photographer of the family, or a treat for yourself you can find the FujiFilm Intax Mini 8 here.
I’ve finally caved and hoped onto the Apple bandwagon and bought the iPhone 5s. Don’t know if its worth the hefty price tag but so far it is a wonderful upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S1 (yup, I was definitely behind on the tech times). When looking into getting a new smart phone, my main requirements were good camera, I can use it with one hand, apps, and something that won’t become obsolete in a year. The iPhone fit the bill andddddddd I footed a hefty bill for this month’s credit card statement.
Of course everyone is also wondering…what do you think of iOS7? To be honest, the first time I saw the renderings online, I thought it was extremely ugly, but through using it, I’ve become more fond of it? Didn’t think I could, but it’s definitely growing on me. I wish there was more customization for the user, because honestly, that green for text messages….ain’t my favourite colour to say the least. Also the white background can become quite harsh at night and it would be nice to be able to change the background to a darker colour, or when texting someone their contact icon shows up…or, well there are a lot of improvements I think Apple could make to their new UI really…
LOVE the camera, app variety, speed…
HATE the price tag
Would I recommend you buying it? Well if your wallet allows it and you’re willing to make the investment? I don’t see why not. But if you’ve already got the iPhone 5, don’t bother; it’s really just the same.
