A couple months back I was in Toronto for a quick weekend trip and it was timed perfectly with the delivery of my new camera. I spent the trip getting to know my camera (Canon RP) a bit better and because it was so light and portable I ended up bringing it everywhere I went. And of course, while in Toronto, all I do is eat so I have a plethora of food photos to share with you!
My relatives in Toronto are always scoping out the best places in the Markham area and they never fail to deliver on wonderful Asian cuisine. I love that in Toronto you are able to find many different regions of chinese food. When I was younger, Chinese food was just Chinese food, I didn’t have this notion that different regions within China had their own cuisine and unique styles. Toronto has definitely opened up my taste-buds but I could only imagine the amount of different tastes I could experience if I were to visit China!

Having moved to Montreal recently for a footwear design internship, its been quite the change from comfortable and homey Ottawa. I secured a place downtown, right off of St. Catherine-Ouest and the ever bustling city is filled with chatter and car noises.
Over the past few weeks the sound of french has become comforting and is bringing back the many hours spent in french immersion during high school, which I still firmly believe I did not learn anything in regards to being bilingual (though I have a certificate that says otherwise). Everything is so new, not knowing anyone in the city but thankfully I have some amazing friends who visit me from Ottawa and over the long weekend we got up to a lot of shenanigans exploring the city together. Never have I walked so much, biked until the pain of the potholes still linger and eat such delicious food.
Stuffed is the first word that comes to mind if you ask me how I’m doing. After chowing down on multiple sliders at Burger Week, I don’t think I can eat another burger for a while. Burger Week is an event in Toronto that allows you to try multiple burgers from 70+ restaurants over the course of the week at a discounted price, ending with the last day which is help in a location where all the restaurants come out and feed hungry crowds with their sliders. It was delicious! Granted I could of done without the rolling showers, the food made up for the muddy feet and sodden clothing. Which one was my favourite you ask? I don’t think I could tell you, but anything with bacon was a winner to me!
