Hey guys! I’m so so sorry that I’ve neglected this platform, lots have been going on and I have things lined up for this specific platform coming up real soon! So hang tight!
I have been more video focused in terms of content creation lately so a lot of tutorials and travel things have been appearing on my YouTube Channel. I thought I would link you some of the videos that have been uploaded so in the off chance that you weren’t aware of that channel you can navigate your way on over there!
I don’t intend to abandon this blog as it is the pinnacle of what started it all; but I will try my best to be more consistent in sharing across platforms so on whichever one you prefer to view, all content will be updated on the latest things I am creating!
I’m trying something different… something a little bit new and unusual but I think it will help in sharing my DIYs with you! I’ve decided to launch a channel on Youtube for Deconstrut! I don’t have any video training so this will be quite the journey getting the grasp of shooting and composing videos!
For my very first video, I decided to do a tutorial on 3 super easy t-shirt transformations! A white tee is already very versatile on its own but its also a great base to build things on top of! I created all of these projects within an afternoon and there is no rule to say you can’t do these projects with other t-shirts, new or thrifted!
I used men’s Hanes T-shirts from here in a size Small.

T-shirt Transformation #1: CROPPED TEE
T-shirt Transformation #2: OFF THE SHOULDER PEASANT TOP
In honor of breast cancer month, I felt like making a bust enhancing tee where the details are all front and center. Two stars right where the nipples are located, a breast friendly tee that’s fun and a great alternative to a basic t-shirt. This is a quick and easy DIY that plays on the embroidery trend which is great to do for yourself or as a gift to someone else. Feel free to modify this tutorial to place an embroidery design anywhere you like and have it be anything you like! You could do phrases, roses, multiple stars… your imagination is your own limitation! I chose to do stars since it’s a hot shape for fall and I love that it kind of makes the shirt taboo with their placement (if you know what I mean). Read on to see how I created this embroidered star tee!
Everyone already knows that a plain white tee is a amust have in my closet of basics, but who says it can’t be jazzed up a bit? I love the chevron detailing on the sleeves of this Joe’s Jeans Tee. It make it that much more special and of course, it’s totally DIY-able!
