I’m trying something different… something a little bit new and unusual but I think it will help in sharing my DIYs with you! I’ve decided to launch a channel on Youtube for Deconstrut! I don’t have any video training so this will be quite the journey getting the grasp of shooting and composing videos!
For my very first video, I decided to do a tutorial on 3 super easy t-shirt transformations! A white tee is already very versatile on its own but its also a great base to build things on top of! I created all of these projects within an afternoon and there is no rule to say you can’t do these projects with other t-shirts, new or thrifted!
I used men’s Hanes T-shirts from here in a size Small.
TIME | 5mins – 30mins
COST | $
DIFFICULTY | easy
T-shirt Transformation #1: CROPPED TEE
T-shirt Transformation #2: OFF THE SHOULDER PEASANT TOP
Greetings from 2017! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday. We’ve officially wrapped up 2016 and I wanted to close that chapter off in my blog with a video montage of the highlights of the past year.
The past year was definitely an amazing one and I’m excited to see what is in store for this year. I really want to thank everyone for their support in my endeavors and adventures this past year and I can’t wait to embark on many more!
One of the things I would like to upkeep more is this blog! Let’s make this into something great 🙂 I’ve got tonnes planned out for 2017, so cheers! And here’s to the start of a great year <3
P.S. If you guys like videos there may be more coming up on my YouTube channel!
Funny enough through the mockery of the choker trend, I’m still a fan. Especially of sophisticated metal finishes and lux materials like velvet and satin ribbons. But this article did spark an idea in me. Perfect for those athleisure diehards, here’s a choker that will reflect what you love best!
I present to you the TRUE Nike choker, you can easily make your own with other sport brand headbands with ease. Follow the instructions below and you too can own your very own sporty choker.
Who wants to see a Supreme one or adidas?
Tag #deconstrut if you make this DIY, I would love to see your creations!
Wow! I can’t believe I haven’t posted in so long. Very sorry about that!
A lot has changed in the past little while and I’ve sadly neglected this blog but here’s a bit of an update. I completed my 15-month internship and moved back home at the end of last month and then jetted off to Japan with my Dad for two weeks immersing ourselves in the Japanese culture. I have yet to finish going through all my photos but while on the trip I managed to take some video footage on my phone. I’ve upload Part 1 & Part 2 onto my YouTube Channel; Part 3 is on its way!
We started off in Tokyo, took a day trip to Mt. Fuji; spent some time at Nachi Falls in Kii-Katsuura and got stuck there for two days thanks to a typhoon. Made our way to Osaka and Kyoto before returning home 🙂
I had a lot of fun on the trip and would definitely recommend anyone who is an adventurous eater to give it a go! I will be posting a mini travel guide of Japan along with photos soon so keep your eyes peeled for that 🙂

I thought I’d try my hand at filming another tutorial, I find filming seems to work best for quick small projects and you can jam to some awesome songs at the same time. Let me know if you like these vidoe DIYs or if you prefer the step by step photographs. Maybe I’ll even try to do both, too ambitious?
